This policy explains what balloontowerdefense.com collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal detail in order to play. There is no login, no newsletter signup gate and no payment of any kind.

Game progress

Your best wave, unlocked modes and settings are stored in your own browser using local storage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data for this site erases it permanently.

Analytics

We measure how the site is used in two ways:

• Game telemetry. Aggregate counts such as how many people start a game and which wave they reach. This does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not build a profile of you. It records a device class (touch or pointer), the referring site, and in-game numbers — nothing that identifies you.
• Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand traffic and page usage. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish sessions, and sends usage data — pages viewed, approximate location from a truncated IP address, device and browser — to Google, which processes it as our data processor. We have not enabled Google Signals or cross-device advertising features. Data is retained for 14 months. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking cookies for this site, or by using your browser's private mode.

Advertising and cookies

This site may display advertising served by Google and other third parties. In connection with that advertising:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices.
• Third-party ad networks that we do not control may also place cookies. Their use of that data is governed by their own privacy policies.

Children

This site is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, use your browser's private mode, or clear local storage for this site at any time. None of these will prevent the game from working, although clearing local storage will reset your saved progress.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
